Choosing the best auto accident attorney is probably one of the toughest decisions you’ll ever have to make.
When you consider that the lawyer you choose to represent you after your auto accident will be “set in stone”, it makes the task even more daunting.
First and foremost, choosing ANY kind of service provider is hard!! Choosing the best attorney means hiring the attorney with the most knowledge and legal expertise!
- You can’t pick up legal expertise, put on a jeweler’s eye piece and examine the lawyer’s legal expertise in that manner!
- You can’t measure legal expertise – meaning you can’t take out a tape measure and conclude that an attorney has 54 CM of legal expertise.
Heck, even if you could “define and measure” legal expertise, when you’ve been involved in a car accident, you don’t want just ANY legal expertise – you want an auto accident lawyer – a lawyer whose specialty is people who have been hurt in car accidents!
The best auto accident attorney is, by far, the one handles auto accidents every day. I once saw television ads which were run by a law firm in my area. The ads would show insurance company executives “talking” about the latest personal injury auto accident case that had been filed against their insurance company.
In the ad, one insurance executive says to another, “This case is different. They’ve hired [insert name of auto accident attorney's law firm].” The once calm insurance executive gets a worried look on his face and says, “Maybe we’d better settle this one quickly.”
Now I don’t by any STRETCH of imagination believe that when my attorney notified Allstate that I was suing them for their client’s actions that high level executives at Allstate wrung their hands with worry.
Remember, for an auto insurance company, auto accident lawsuits are being filed each and every day. If your attorney isn’t dealing with auto accident claims on a regular basis, then he or she is operating at a severe disadvantage.
